The Guadalupe County Fair Association offers to the area youth scholarship yearly. These scholarships are to offer advanced education opportunities to the youth of the area by granting scholarship monies to students enrolled in Agricultural, Livestock, Outdoor Activities or Science Studies.

The purpose of the Fair Association is to encourage agricultural, horticultural and stock farming through the maintenance of public fairs and exhibits of stock and farm products. Also to offer advanced education opportunities to the youth of the area by granting scholarship monies to student enrolled in agricultural or livestock studies.

All applications must be returned to the school councilor by March 21, 2012. Part will be paid during the first semester and the reminder will be paid during the second semester at proof of registration. Scholarship funds must be collected within a year of the presentation of the award. Scholarships will be awarded during the school awards program.

EVENTS & ATTRACTIONS

Kevin Fowler: The name Kevin Fowler always means a full house and cheering crowds. Calling Kevin "country rock" sounds too tame. "Southern country" might be closer to the soul of his hybrid of Southern rock and country music. It's the preferred music of a new generation of country fans.

Kyle Wayne Kutscher Band: The Kyle Wayne Kutscher Band, based out of San Marcos, has been cranking out a unique brand of Texas music since Kyle's college days at Texas Lutheran University. The rich black soil of Zorn, Texas where Kyle grew up has inspired songs that dig into your soul and created a movement - Texas Black Dirt Country Music.

Honor Breast Cancer Survivors: Please proudly wear your Pink! The Guadalupe County Fair Association will be making a donation to Relay For Life of Guadalupe County for each person wearing Pink on Saturday, October 8.

Fair Parade: Downtown Seguin will be packed with people when the parade kicks off at 10am.

Trade Fair & Expo: Check out businesses and individuals selling & promoting their products.

Kids Corral/Playday Activities: Free activities for the whole family! Games, prizes, contests, arts & crafts...and much, much more.

Zoofari Animal Adventures: A highly charged, interactive show with live animals and music presented by CampJunction Exotic Zoo

Country Store: Offers for sale home and canned items, fresh baked goods, as well as handcrafted items, sewing, paintings, crocheted pieces.
