The Guadalupe County Sheriff's Mounted Posse has been performing at rodeos and parades throughout south and central Texas since 1950. Drill team members enjoy horseback riding and the opportunity to enjoy it with family and friends whether performing or sponsoring trail rides. All members furnish their own horses, tack and transportation.

They have won numerous awards while participating in parades and won first place in Texas drill team competition held several years ago. They were also the first equestrian group to perform in the San Antonio Alamodome. Drill team members were honored to appear twice on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno in 2009.

The drill team members are involved in many community service projects and have hosted benefit trail rides to raise awareness and money for specific groups and individuals. If you're interested in riding with us or want to talk to us about an event, please talk to any of our members.

RODEO EVENTS

PRCA Rodeo: If you love live rodeo action, Wild Card Rodeo is the show to see.

Ranch Rodeo: Come see these real working ranch cowboys compete in events such as Steer Tying, Cow Hide Races and Wild Horse Saddling.

Swing into Action with Mark Swingler: With his ability to involve crowds with outrageous acts and create an atmosphere of family fun, professional rodeo clown and barrelman Mark Swingler is sure to make rodeo fans get their money's worth.

Fair Association Drill Team: Watch the ladies perform exciting high speed precision maneuvers such as the Texas Grand Entry in pairs, Double Wedding Ring, and the Heart of Texas.

Sheriff's Mounted Posse: The Guadalupe County Sheriff's Mounted Posse has won numerous awards while participating in parades and won first place in Texas drill team competition held several years ago.
